our simple process

Hello!

My name is Lynn, and I’m the managing attorney at Lynn Girvin Law, P.C. I’ve been practicing law for over twenty-five years, and I truly love what I do. My practice is focused exclusively on estate planning, with a personalized approach tailored to your unique family dynamics and financial situation. One size does not fit all, and as your trust attorney, I take the time to understand your goals, pay close attention to detail, and create a plan designed just for you.

I know firsthand the challenges that growing families face, and I understand that many people are hesitant to deal with attorneys—or the financial side of estate planning. I also understand the emotional strain that can come with losing a loved one, which is why planning ahead is so important. My goal is to offer a welcoming, secure, and judgment-free experience. I work on a flat fee basis to eliminate surprises, and you’re always welcome to reach out with questions—without worrying about unexpected charges.

I use the latest and most trusted estate planning software to ensure your plan is well-organized, accurate, and easy to follow. I’m confident you’ll feel peace of mind when your plan is complete. But don’t just take my word for it—see what our happy clients have to say!

"Lynn was very easy to work with from the beginning. I was working with another firm to update my trust but had a hard time moving forward. Lynn took charge and we had a new trust in no time. She is very responsive to calls and emails. I was referred to her by an online review I saw. I am very happy I found her."

Three Easy Steps ...

Information gathering
1. Information Gathering
After scheduling your first appointment, I will send you a Client Worksheet to complete. This worksheet gives you an opportunity to consider your overall goals and gather basic information relating to your estate. As your trust attorney, I’m here to make the process as simple and stress-free as possible—so if you have any questions about the worksheet, I encourage you to call me any time. Just bring the completed form with you to our first meeting. I look forward to getting started on your plan!

2. Initial Meeting
Next, we’ll meet to discuss your specific concerns and goals. This initial meeting typically lasts about an hour. I’ll take the time to answer your questions and explain everything in plain, easy-to-understand language—no legal jargon. Some clients prefer a high-level overview, while others like to dive deeper into the details of each provision and the overall planning process. Either way, this meeting is the perfect opportunity to get clarity and ensure you're comfortable moving forward. I want you to know that your concerns are my concerns, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
3. Plan Completion
After our initial meeting, I will prepare your individualized plan, which typically takes between two to three weeks. Once you're comfortable with the details, we’ll meet again to sign and notarize your documents. As your trust attorney, I’ll be there to walk you through each step, ensuring everything is clear and aligned with your goals. The signing appointment takes about an hour, after which I’ll guide you through the funding process. From there, you can rest assured knowing your plan is in place and your family is protected. It’s that simple.
